What is a veneer?

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made in a dental laboratory to fit over the front surface of a tooth.

A  white tooth filling can be used to create a direct veneer without using a laboratory if the situation is suitable.

What are the advantages of veneers?

Veneers make teeth look natural and healthy, and because they are very thin and are held in place by a special strong dental adhesive, very little preparation of the tooth is needed. We use porcelain which is available on the NHS, provided the veneer is required for more than cosmetic reasons alone.

We also use high strength and extremely natural porcelains for higher end cosmetic makeovers.
